Subject: Mary and Abe Lincoln embracing under the mistletoe at their home in Springfield (a rare scene of affection).

Description: Phil Wagner commissioned Ostendorf to do an ink and wash at Christmas time. Phil had the pleasure to decorate the Lincoln Home Visitors Center at Christmas. He wanted an original to hang along with 24 rare Ostendorf Christmas prints of the Lincoln family and 20 commemorative Christmas postcards. These prints and postcards were from negatives of Christmas scenes that Ostendorf drew over a 20-year period.
