Subject: Lincoln in his temporary office in State House

Description: Abraham Lincoln used the Governor's Chambers in the State House for his office from part of May, 1860, to December 29, 1860. With him are his secretaries, John G. Nicolay and John Hay. Lincoln is seated at a desk signing a paper.
